In pastorals, sarabands, dances and concertos we’ll venture, with Angèle Dubeau & La Pietà,

into a vast universe of Christmas celebrations and traditions.  We’ll travel to Italy through

Vivaldi and his Concerto “per il santissimo Natale”, and Corelli and his Christmas Pastoral,

on to Great Britain represented by works of Handel and Frank Bridge’s Christmas Dance,

and visit Finland with Jean Sibelius.  We’ll participate in the many ways of expressing

Christmas in music through time and place – a grand tour of the Feast of the Nativity.
