The acting principal cellist of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra closes our season with a
mesmerizing performance of three of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Suites for Solo Cello –
considered to be among the most cherished and frequently played works in the entire
literature of music – and of Spanish cellist and composer Gaspar Cassadó’s Suite for
Solo Cello, inspired by Pablo Casals’ legendary interpretation of Bach’s masterworks.
